Oh look, Chicken Thursday!

If you are reading this news at the beginning of today's PearlyGates mailing, you will notice two items instead of one. That is because neither one of those pieces of content was big enough to make a single mailing. So I am buddying them up and sending them out together.

Today's video share is about the discovery of an incredibly old shark. In fact, in this picture you can see the look on his face when they told him how old he actually was!

"Actually, yes," said the applicant modestly. "Last year I had two short stories published in national magazines, and I finished my novel."

"Very impressive," he commented, "but I was thinking of skills you could apply during office hours."

Mrs. Smith explained brightly, "Oh, that was during office hours."

An indigent client who had been injured in an accident went looking for a lawyer to represent him without cost.

One lawyer told him that he would take the case on contingency.

When the client asked what "contingency" was, the lawyer replied,

"If I don't win your lawsuit, I don't get anything. If I do win your lawsuit, you don't get anything."
