Oh look, Chicken Thursday!
Our daughter and grandson have arrived for an 8 week visit while my son-in-law does some army training in the reserves. Alyssa works for Shopify so she can work wherever there is an internet connection.
Our 7-year-old grandson has a very interesting skill: reminding us of what it was like to be children while at the same time making us realize how old we are getting. Kudos to my wife who is much more willing to hop on the trampoline than I am. Somebody has to drive to the hospital

Athletics Anonymous
Not too long ago, with all the emphasis on one's physical fitness, a new organization sprang up called "Athletics Anonymous."
When you get the urge to play golf, tennis, go power-walking or bicycle riding (or anything else involving a type of physical activity), they send someone over to watch TV with you until the urge passes.

Paranoia has reached absurd stages ... I sneezed in front of my laptop and the anti-virus started a scan on its own.

Fourth Needed
The doctor answered the phone and heard the familiar voice of a colleague on the other end of the line. "We need a fourth for poker," said the friend.
"I'll be right over," whispered the doctor. As he was putting on his coat, his wife asked, "Is it serious?"
"Oh yes, quite serious," said the doctor gravely. "In fact, there are three doctors there already!"

Through a Child's Eye
The world is an adventure,
there's so many things to see,
the search for buried treasure,
climbing high up in a tree.
Finding shells along the seashore,
playing marbles in the sand,
skipping stones across a pond,
throwing as far as you can.
Playing a game of hide and seek,
way back out in the woods,
pretending you're a robber,
and stealing all the goods.
Wading barefoot in a creek,
and trying to catch a frog,
or going to your favorite park,
and playing Frisbee with your dog.
And as I sit and wonder,
it comes as no surprise,
how little things can seem so big,
seen through a child's eyes.
