good gravyWow!!  It seems I have to blog more often to keep ahead of the surprising / stunning news.

First things first; I’m still giddy about the piano.  It was tuned on Friday, and I definitely play it several hours just about every day.  My friends have joked that now my family will have to do their own laundry, cook their own meals and basically fend for themselves since no one will be able to pry me away from the piano.  Well, the kids are doing their own laundry now (that’s another story on the riverbank), but I’m still pretty much the chief cook and bottle-washer.

I would love to not be.  One of my favorite things in life is sharing the kitchen with other people.  I love that “kitchen dance” that happens when 3 or 4 people are all working together to prepare a meal. But that doesn’t happen too frequently in my kitchen.  My children cook on occasion; Tim never.  We’ve been married 24 years and adding milk and sugar to my tea is a newly acquired skill for Tim.

A Dream Come TrueLast Saturday’s Cybersalt news made mention of big things going on at Cybersalt Central… well, let me fill you in.

About a month ago, my sister asked Tim to post an ad on the web for a Kawai piano she was trying to sell.  I did a little research on-line regarding manufacture date, color name, etc. of said piano, and checked out prices of similar instruments that were for sale in our area.

In my investigation I stumbled upon this photo in an ad for a Kawai baby grand.  Owning a grand piano has been a dream of the heart for me for many years –

To Hold in the Hand

hold firm to truthWhat refreshing encouragement I’ve seen in God’s word this morning!!

Just after the Mount of Transfiguration, Jesus, Peter, James and John come down the mountain to find the other disciples with a large crowd around a man and his son. The mute boy was often thrown to the ground, would foam at the mouth, gnash his teeth and become rigid. His father had brought the boy to Jesus. The disciples tried to help. Chronologically this event was after “[the disciples] drove out many demons and anointed many sick people with oil and healed them” [6:13]. But no healing this time.

Knowing and Believing, eh!

Knowing and believing GodThere seems to have been some confusion at Cybersalt World Headquarter's regarding my nationality after a reference to 'soda pop' earlier this week.  Today's title is to simply clarify - I am Canadian.

I'd love to tell you about another crazy thought for me from my morning Bible Study.  In June I was reading Mark chapter 6 where Jesus and His disciples head off in a boat for some needed rest and refreshment. Mark puts it, “So they went away by themselves in a boat to a solitary place.” Apparently the solitary place was the boat; because when they arrived on shore a crowd had already gathered having run on ahead of them.
