"...have not the faith of our LORD Jesus Christ, the LORD of glory, with respect of persons."

God has told us to love others as He loves us, with-out partiality. But
this is not easy, because we find some people especially hard to like.
We either ignore them completely, or we try to get away with the kind

This attitude isn't new among Christians. The text today reveals that neglecting the less fortunate has occurred in the church for a long time. There have always been those who are not easy to love. But when we encounter them, we should remember what the Savior did for us. Without regard for His own well being, He came into the world to suffer and die for you and me. I am glad he didn't avoid the price of loving us so much.
More like the Master I would live and grow
More of His love to others I would show;
More self-denial, like His in Galilee,
More like the Master I long to ever be.
