I am asking you to read Psalm 139 and Micah 5:2,3
"But you Bethlehem...out of you will come for me one who will be ruler over Israel."
Today we meet Micah, a prophet whose strong faith compelled him to
address the issues of the day. He was a forerunner of Jesus because of
his lifestyle of poverty. Choosing Bethlehem, the least of Judah's
towns, rather than Jerusalem, the center of power, he underlined the
importance of the lowly and insignificant over the wealthy and powerful.
The next few days we will meet Mary and her aging cousin Elizabeth.
Also Hannah who, like Mary, could not keep her jubilation about her

The fourth Sunday in Advent is so close to Christmas this year and I will try to bring it all together.
I will need you to use your imagination when you read Ps. 139 by recognizing that you are a tapestry created by God. Winter is a period of hibernation when nature withdraws from activity to rest, a time to replenish its energies for new birth and growth. Permit God's spirit to merge with yours as you prepare for Jesus' birth.
The Savior came into this world
Just as the prophets said;
And since they said He'll come again,
With joy we look ahead.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY - The Son of God became the Son of Man that He might change the sons of men into sons of God.
