With yesterday being the Northern Hemisphere's winter solstice (the shortest day for daylight), today will be longer than yesterday by about 20 seconds. You know what that means - it's time to get the sunblock out!

Oh look, Chicken Thursday.
For the last month or so, Canada Post has been on strike. However the "posties" (not a bad term here in Canada) returned to work on Tuesday. Grandma Cybersalt and I could tell they were back because the news said so and we also got one letter in the mailbox on the front of our house. I am waiting for some literal "cheques in the mail" from clients, so I am eagerly anticipating more envelopes. That said, we didn't get any mail yesterday. At least the mystery of when they will arrive keeps life from getting boring!
Today's video share is another commercial that makes one think. In a world when we all live in our own bubbles, let's do what is needed to break out of them!

Grandma Cybersalt and I had been looking forward to attending our church's Worship Team Christmas party last night, but we ended up stuck in traffic due to an accident further along the highway. By the time we got past the scene, it was too late to continue on and arrive at the party, only to leave, so we turned around and headed home. It was a disappointment, for sure, but we chose to be grateful it was not us in the accident and trusted that Jesus just had other plans for us - some of which turned out to be Chinese food at home, watching the news.

Oh look, Chicken Thursday.
I now have fewer emails in my inbox than the number of years that Dick Van Dyke has lived. I promise I will stop telling you how many emails I have once I reach my zero inbox goal!

Sunday greetings, everyone.
'Tis the season for Christmas plays and performances. Yesterday, Grandma Cybersalt and I attended the Highland Dance performance of one of our granddaughters. Today, our house will see a procession of violinists whom she will be accompanying at a recital next Sunday, the day after we attend a piano recital with the same granddaughter and her brother. It's good to be old and be able to come home and rest after these things!
Today's video share is another audio listen. My friend, Greg Vaughan, has just released some new Christmas music and it is very calm listening!
