The Woman in the Mirror: A Story of Christian Grace

Details
Published: 21 January 2026

Someone sitting in the shadows, knees up, elbows on knees, and hands in front of their face. The other day I was hangin' out with a friend.

This friend is a Christian but doesn't always act like one. Some days she's in line with God's Word, and some days life's struggles get the best of her.

As our eyes met I really wanted to say something about it but decided to let The Lord speak to her heart knowing nothing I could say would have the same impact as her Father's Words.

So I prayed with her.

And after some time passed, I winked at her.... and walked away from the mirror.

A black and white image of a middle-aged man with a short greying beard looking off to his left, thinking. This year I want to be more like Jesus:

  • Hang out with sinners.
  • Upset religious people.
  • Tell stories that make people think.
  • Choose unpopular friends.
  • Be kind, loving and merciful.
  • Take naps on boats.

A man sitting on a couch, sleaves rolled up, book in hand, glasses on, looking directly toward us.Do the right thing.

The law is almost always a lower standard than ethics.

When companies justify uncomfortable decisions as "legal," it doesn't make those decisions right.

- origin is unknown, but is used by leadership author & speaker Simon Sinek

The Paraguay flag flying high against a blue sky.I sat by a lovely man from Australia during the opening ceremonies of the Olympic Games. He kept pulling out new flags from his bag and waving them. I asked him about it and he said,

"I bring the 9 smallest nations flags with me as they won't have many people in the stands."

Man Sells Rare Game Ticket for a Fortune

Details
Published: 10 January 2026

A close-up of several basketballs. In 1984, college freshman Michael Cole bought two $8.50 tickets to the Chicago Bulls’ season opener, the NBA debut of a rookie named Michael Jordan.

He went alone when his friend bailed, keeping the unused ticket tucked away in a folder labeled “Mike’s Memory Box.”

Nearly 40 years later, Cole saw a torn stub from that same game sell for over $260,000. Realizing his full, unused ticket was one of a kind, he put it up for auction.

It sold for $468,000.
