Cybersalt News
As I explained 2 weeks ago, August was quite the month around Cybersalt World Headquarters. It had a bunch of emotional lows and a bunch of emotional highs. At some points Grandma Cybersalt and I only had enough energy to be grateful and at other times we were energized by the rare gathering of all our kids and grandkids. We're thankful to Jesus for his presence in every part of life. We're also thankful to all of you who prayed for and encouraged us.
Today's video share is of a beautiful act of kindness and love towards a stranger. It inspires us to pay attention to the people around us and show them the care and compassion we all need from time to time.
This link will take to you to FaceBook where the video is hosted. The other videos on this page are constantly changing, so I cannot guarantee what else will appear on the same page. But just like in real life, the lesson needs to be gleaned by a discerning spirit and eye.

50 Years - 5 Minutes
On an airplane, I overheard a stewardess talking to an elderly couple in front of me.
Learning that it was the couple's 50th wedding anniversary, the flight attendant congratulated them and asked how they had done it.
"It all felt like five minutes..." the gentleman said slowly.
The stewardess had just begun to remark on what a sweet statement that was when he finished his sentence with a word that earned him a sharp smack on the head:
"..underwater."

"Fear does not stop death - it stops life.
And worrying does not take away tomorrow's troubles - it takes away today's peace."

Christ Died for You and Me
I know that I shall never see
A man who loves as much as Thee.
My God you gave up your own Son
For to ransom everyone!
Oh what ugly wounds He bore!
Ahead, He knew what was in store.
First they bruised Him savagely.
This was for our iniquity.
With lashing reeds they did attack,
And tore the flesh right off His back!
A crown of thorns did pierce His brow.
The pain of it was awful now!
A soldier's sword did pierce His side,
And water and blood from there did glide.
It seemed as if He'd met defeat,
When they nailed to the cross His hands and feet.
The words of Jesus from the cross
Speak of His love for all of us.
As they drove the nails, this will speak to you!
He cried "Father, forgive, they don't know what they do."
His mother was standing close to John.
With concern He told her, "Behold your son."
A thief on the cross realized his sin,
And Jesus said, "Paradise today you'll win!"
His tongue was parched. He said "I thirst."
And vinegar was what they gave Him first.
Then darkness fell and the earth was shaken.
Jesus cried, "God, Why am I forsaken?"
When He said "It is finished," redemption was complete.
This really was not for Him a defeat.
Christ's death was God's best of master plans.
Now He committed His spirit into God's hands.
Yes, our Saviour died upon a tree
But He rose again victoriously.
In His suffering and death He bore our sin,
Eternal life for us to win
Lord you gave yourself for me
And now I give myself to thee.
Teach me each day what I should do
To help others to know you too.

Rev. James Snyder, God's Penman, writes . . . .
Bump, Bump, Bump, Where’s the Scratch?
Life can get crazy because there are so many crazy people in the world. I know, I’m one.
Through the years, I have come to appreciate crazy people. They make life interesting and make me look less crazy than I really am.
The interesting thing is that a crazy person shows up in your life when you least expect it. There’s no way you can prepare for these crazy episodes. If only I could wear a camera on my glasses, I could make a fortune.
The other day I drove through the McDonald’s drive-through to order my morning cup of coffee to take to my office. Of course, I do that every morning as a routine.

Over the years, some of the most popular pages on the Cybersalt site have featured Funny Cat Pictures. We have to admit that even though cats often look at humans like they owe the feline world something (remember dogs have owners and cats have staff), cats aren't as bad as a lot of the press that they get.
And so, whether you are a cat lover or tolerator, we hope you enjoy these funny cat pictures. And, of course, if you have any funny cat pictures you want to share with the world, feel free to send them to us to post here.

Some say the world can be divided into two types - cat people and dog people. For the cat people of the planet, Cybersalt has the Funny Cat Archive. For the dog people we have this Funny Dog Pictures archive.
It's dedicated to the memory of Maggie - Pastor Tim and family's dog. The SPCA rescued Maggie from Manitoba's Red River flood in 1996 and brought her to British Columbia where she had two short term owners before becoming a part of the Davis household where she preferred adults over kids, picked and ate fruit from trees in the backyard, and very rarely went into water at the beach.
