As a southerner I enjoy Fried Chicken. As a Historic Baptist, I hold to the Doctrines of Grace as the heart of the Gospel. The Doctrines of Grace consist of these 5 points;

1. Man's total depravity 2. Paricular Redemption 3. uncomditional election

4. Irresistible Grace 5. Preservation of the Saints.

The God I serve is Sovereign, and sits ion the throne of the universe.
He rules over all. HALLELUJAH.....

That's Just Life

As I waited in the line-up at the post office the other day I overheard a conversation that is quite common for this area of the world.  One person asked after the other and the response was, "Fine, but too busy." The other responded, "That's just life here now, isn't it?"

The comment arises from living in a province/county/town that is at the height of economic boom.  We here in Alberta Canada have seen unprecedented growth in business, housing and population.  As I zoomed into the traffic on our main highway the other day I had a moment of nostalgia for the days when it was not so.  This fast pace takes its toll.  I find I'm often rushing, often trying to think in several directions at once and often afraid that one base or another hasn't been covered.  And I realize it has indeed become "just life" for me and those around me.

And then I realized that expression is really an oxymoron - something that does not, or should not, make sense.  Life is not "just" anything - it's all we have, a gift from God that should be . . .

Springing...

April was interesting..storms and "bugs" that made us sick..

Praise God we are all better now..(I hope.)

I have been trying to decide if it is time to take down the sheltering screens for the Bunnys..
The nights are still pretty chilly and we still need blankets but the days are in the 80's now...

The Bunnys are already drinking more water so I pulled out the extra water containers I add during the warmer months...
It is important they have plenty of fresh water all the time.

The "Pond" is becoming a problem already..
Keeping the algae out of the water is not my favorite thing to try to do  ..
Sometimes I am changing the filter every day..
I need new filters...
I inherited the fish and the pond from my daughter a couple of years back..If they have names I do not know what they are..
I really don't talk to them that much..

Plus...Where is that covering my sweet better half keeps saying he will make for me???
He has been awful busy lately..

It will soon be warm all the time ...day and night...
soon to be in the 90's...
Summer's commin'.
Folks are breaking out the cleaning products for their pools and preparing for warm days..
Crystal cleaned out her Dad and Moms pool a couple of weeks but the water  is still too chilly ...

I have been sitting here thinking about a situation my little grandaughter is facing right now..
and I am concerned for her well being..
In an instant I am hearing in my heart..
"Lord of All..Lord of seen and unseen things..."

And He is Lord...
When we are troubled by any of the things that happen to us or to those we love we can rest in the comfort of His love ..

And I am even more aware of the  Scripture...

Isa 65:23
They will not labor in vain, nor bring forth for terror. For they are the seed of the beloved of Jehovah, and their offspring with them.
Isa 65:24  And it will be, before they call I will answer; and while they are still speaking, I will hear.

How can I not worship Him who so loves me that while I am yet struggling with a thought He is there to bring me peace before I even ask for it.....

I am off now to get some work done..
You have a blessed May..

Jud 1:20
But you, beloved, building yourselves up in your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit,
Jud 1:21  keep yourselves in the love of God, eagerly awaiting the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to everlasting life.
